5* Hotel Nixe Palace hotel – Mallorca.
So I went away with work last weekend on an all expenses paid 2 night break to Mallorca. It was incredible and I just had to share this hotel with you.
When most hotels say they are ‘on the beach’ it’s usually still a 10 mile hike down the road. Well Nixe Palace is actually set on the sea front of Cala Mayor and the beach in just down a few steps. It costs around 140 euros a night for the classic city view room and I think it’s amazing value for money.
Everyone in our group (14 Cooper Lomaz recruitment bods of all ages) decided instantly that we would all go back in the future, though probably not together this time lol. It would be a great place for a romantic couples holiday though.

Anyway the buffet breakfast was incredible, at least it was for those who could make it down on time. The pool was small-ish and pretty bloody cold, though at one point in time we were all thankful for the cold shock to the system, there was plenty of sun loungers to accommodate our group and all of the other hotel guests with the gorgeous beach for a view. The staff where really friendly the entire time and everyone took a liking to Jamie at the pool bar. The spa looked and smelt incredible however as we were only there for the weekend most of us opted to stay outside topping up the tans.
The beach was really clean and had a buzzing atmosphere with plenty of space for the guests. The sand was soft and the sea was crystal clear. I actually got over my fear of the sea on this trip (ultra proud), in fact I was often the one encouraging the others to come in the sea with me, I know right, I’m a changed woman!
There were ridiculous amounts of eating and drinking involved (I will never look at a G&T the same way again) and I would recommend Peix Vermell for a beautiful meal while you are there – the steak & seafood were incredible. The views from the terrace were outstanding and the staff were very accommodating to our rather large, very hungry and over-the-top noisy group.
Prismas karaoke bar was good fun. We also visited Tito’s nightclub and Rockefella nightclub which if I am honest, I don’t really remember much of. I do know that everyone had a great time though.
Some of the consultants got a cab in to Magaluf as it was quite close by taxi & the rest of us went on to the casino. We ended the final night with the largest & loudest room party ever… Sorry Hotel Nixe! We promise never to do it again. It is safe to say that I had about 5 hours sleep the entire trip and I have realised that I am far to old for weekend long piss ups.
Anyway if you want a luxurious & reasonably priced hotel in a great location in Palma then I recommend this place 100%.
